Therapy that moves you—literally.
Healing through movement,
story, and connection.
North Node Therapeutic Theatre is an experiential therapy collective that blends movement, story, and psychology to help people reconnect with themselves and with others. Co-founded by Dr. Liz Kotin and Lindsay Lee, our work invites participants to explore their inner world through somatic movement, improvisation, and guided self-expression. We believe healing happens not just through talking, but through experiencing — through laughter, movement, and genuine connection.
Our workshops create spaces that are both playful and deeply safe — places where vulnerability, curiosity, and joy can coexist. Whether we’re guiding individuals through personal transformation or partnering with organizations to build more connected communities, our aim is the same: to help people feel more at home in their bodies, their stories, and their lives.
Meet the humans behind the healing
Dr. Liz Kotin is a licensed clinical psychologist and co-founder of North Node Therapeutic Theatre. With decades of experience supporting individuals and groups through emotional growth and transformation, Liz brings a grounded, compassionate presence to her work. Her approach integrates depth psychology, somatic awareness, and creative process, helping people move beyond insight into embodied change. Known for her warmth, humor, and calm steadiness, Liz creates spaces where people feel truly seen, supported, and safe to explore their inner worlds.
Lindsay Lee is a somatic movement coach, performer, and co-founder of North Node Therapeutic Theatre. Known affectionately as the “nonverbal ninja,” Lindsay helps people reconnect with their bodies through curiosity, play, and embodied awareness. Her work bridges movement, mindfulness, and creative expression to support emotional release and authentic self-discovery. With an approach that’s equal parts grounded and joyful, Lindsay creates experiences that invite participants to move freely, feel deeply, and rediscover the wisdom already living in their bodies.
